My urban kitty misses his true jungle environment. We got him a ficus plant but he ended up just causing trouble by attempting precarious movies like this so that he could nibble on its leaves. Jungle kitty, removed from his natural environment, seems to have lost some of the natural balance that comes along with that. My childhood pets (Penny, Romana, Wimpy, and Smokey--all cats) were much better acrobats than the Growlenator. He's getting better at using his claws to hold his balance and not fall off our 2 pieces of furniture, but when we first got him, what a clutz!
