I've been buying tokens for my daily commute recently since I haven't gotten around to getting a T pass. The other day I noticed my token said "Metropolitan Transit Authority" instead of the more modern "Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority." According to the Wikipedia the name changed in 1964, making this a very old token. I wonder how many people used this token before I did, and what their stories were. All tokens are set to be replaced by cards in 2006. Which is kind of sad since I like to use the retro tokens.
